- 21 & 23 May 2018 – International Workshop on Food Risk-Benefit Assessment
This workshop aims to discuss the importance of risk-benefit assessment in the area of food safety and nutrition, to overview the Portuguese reality and to evaluate future perspectives on this domain (link to the program will be available soon). This event includes keynote lectures given by scientists of world-renowned institutions as the National Food Institute, Technical University of Denmark, Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA) and EFSA, as well as presentations by national researchers presenting studies developed in this area or related with. This workshop will also present the European project coordinated by INSA “RiskBenefit4EU”.
The workshop aims to gather health professionals, scientists, industry and university students as well as all those interested in this subject. Participation is free, but registration is mandatory (link), subjected to the availability of seats. Registration is already open.
It will be held at INSA auditorium, Lisbon.

- Risk Benefit Assessment symposium at the International Association for Food Protection European Meeting at IAFP Europe: “On-Going Research Activities in Risk-Benefit Assessment of Food”. The Conference will take place in Nantes, France, between 24-26 April 2019. - RBA Summer School in Parma, 11-13 June 2019. The Parma Summer School is hosted by EFSA and organised in conjunction with Università di Parma, and will engage trainers from different institutions of our Network. Hans Verhagen is our contact point for the summer school.
- The International Conference on Food Contaminants in Aveiro, Portugal, September 26-27, 2019. The overall focus is Challenging in Food Risk Assessment, and will have a session dedicated to Risk Benefit Assessment. Paula Alvito and Ricardo Assunção are the organizers.
